The Great Lakes Golf Complex is a three level, 90 station range under the largest Dome in the U.S. (95′ high by 110 yards long). The design consists of a three level deck with a ball wash supply room behind the deck. The range offers both time rental and price per ball options to its customers. In their first season with 62 Northstar II stations in use, they exceeded 95,000 balls/day and averaged 180 balls/station/hour.
Recently, the GRAA named CrackerJax to their “Top 100 U.S. Driving Ranges” list for an astounding 14 years straight!
Designed to meet PGA standards, the two levels have a total of 66 hitting bays.
All 33 fully automated stations are on one level. The first U.S. fully-automated range built in 1993.
Offering a full 300 yards with five target greens from 75 to 250 yards. The range design includes: misters during the summer, lights for evening golf, grade level grass and an auto tee-up system!

Now featuring a new conveyor system! They contracted RAS to upgrade their aging conveyor system. Instantly, they were more than pleased with the results!
The Golf Center Des Plaines had an aged and broken screw-type conveyor. This old type was slow and needed constant repair. It could not keep up with the demands of the range. In 2013 we were contacted by the Skokie Sports Park to help update their old auto-tee system. We began with replacing their ‘screw-type’ conveyor with our reliable belt driven Conveyor.

Soon they discovered that their old elevator just wasn’t able to keep pace with the new, efficient conveyor. So in 2016 we returned to install a new stainless steel elevator.

Finally, in 2017 we got the call to replace their ageing auto-tee system with our most advanced NorthStar4 Auto-Tee System.

Alongside we installed 40 TrackTee Smart Bay Dividers to enhance the customer practice experience. Skokie Sports Park is also home to two adventure golf courses, Traveler’s Quest and Kid’s Quest, as well as a batting cages and a party/meeting room. Fun for the whole family.

Our customers hit over 10 million balls a year. RAS did not disappoint as their ball feeding system has provided golf balls to our customers without disruption.
